During covid, I grabbed the-never-happened-before good deal to stay at Intercontinental Da Nang located in Son Tra Penisula. It was a short but amazing time thanks to the warmest and most passionate staff I have met!
Compared to other famous resorts in Vietnam generally and other resorts by Bill Bensley, Intercontinental Da Nang is uniqely located at a beautiful location at Son Tra Mountain with exclusive sea and wide view to the East Ocean. What I am personally amazed is how the rooms are built along the hill which allow a 360 view to the whole area including the exclusive beach below. You can use a specially designed cable car to move among the restaurants, residence areas and the beach front area.
Well, if you are not convined yet, the complex is situated in one of biggest nature reservation in Da Nang city – Son Tra. You can have a absolutely stunning trekking trip the summit and have 360 degree view of Da Nang city in your own eyes. The trekking takes 2.5 hr and requires medium health condition to overcome multiple steep paths along the way. However, the journey is rewarding with cloud views, famous langurs and your own physical test.
How to get there: a 20-30 mins car trip from Da Nang airport.
Activities: absolutely, treks to multiple nature exploration points (Ban Co summit, 1000 year old tree, a jungle stream or Linh Ung Pagoda), sea acitivity like kayaking, sup, volleyball, fishing or inhouse yoga- taichi experience.
Tip: The Citron restaurant have only 5 eating areas that is shaped like a cone hat boasting a fabulous view to the ocean. Please check with staff when you should arrive to get the vloggerlike pictures. Staffs are also experts for taking pictures for you!
